We currently have an opening for a Funeral Director/Embalmer at Akin-Davis - Clewiston. The role involves managing all phases of funeral arrangements, from service setup to final disposition.
Overview & Responsibilities:- Present all service and merchandise options to client families, ensuring every family receives all options available.
- Maintain open communication and accurate, timely client files to contribute to location efficiency.
- Enhance market share through community involvement and relationships.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, such as vehicle cleaning, repairs, or pre-need planning.
- Oversee team members during services, ensuring professional representation and role clarity.
- Provide feedback to team members on performance to meet business standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations, responding to calls at hospitals, residences, or other locations.
- Transfer, embalm, dress, cosmetize, and prepare the deceased according to family instructions and licensing requirements.
- Meet with families to personalize funeral services, ensuring high-quality experiences.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, permits, and certificates in compliance with laws and regulations.
- Attend and lead funeral services as scheduled.
- Conduct post-service follow-ups as needed.
- Current state licensure for funeral directing and embalming.
- Self-motivated, energetic, with strong communication skills.
- Caring, empathetic, and dedicated to providing excellent service.
- Knowledge of diverse philosophies, religions, and cultural practices.
- Understanding of ethics, customs, and their cultural impacts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
