Reports to:

Service Advisors/Service Manager The service technician will be responsible for performing work assigned. To ensure technical competence he will be required to attend factory sponsored training classes and to familiarize himself with the technical bulletins issued by the factory.

Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or the equivalent.

Chrysler training preferred
* ASE certification preferred
* Licenses

Driver's License

Job-Specific Expectations

Receive repair orders from service advisor and bring vehicle to stall area.

Perform necessary work as outlined on repair order with speed and thoroughness.

Advise service advisor if additional work is needed or if work outlined is not needed.

Make sure repairs are completed, necessary, neat, and fixed right the first time.

Help service advisor with estimates by obtaining parts prices.

Have a neat appearance and wear company uniforms.

Do not tamper with customers' radios, personal property or smoke in vehicles.

Comply with company safety rules and employee handbook.

Use company equipment and property responsibly.

Assist other technicians when needed.

Keep your technical qualifications current by completing any required training programs.

Maintain license as State Inspector.

Make each job thorough and complete to reduce return repairs. If the vehicle should be returned for additional work complete it quickly, correctly and cheerfully.

Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.

Working conditions:

The technician will perform physically demanding work throughout his or her shift. He or she will stand 6 to 8 hours per day, may lift parts weighing 10 to 50 pounds, and will use hoist and test equipment as needed. He or she may be exposed to dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Road testing of vehicles also may be required.
