Advanced EMT ; Part Time Polk

Overview

Advanced EMT – Polk County, TN. Position will float to Benton and Copperhill locations to cover call-outs and PTO. EMS Service line: 911. Shift availability: 24-hr shift. FTE:
Part Time.

• Provide patient care in emergency and non-emergency environments in accordance with company policies and medical director protocols.
• Respond to calls dispatched from the Ameri Pro EMS communications center as directed.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment readiness; ensure cleanliness and proper operation; report deficiencies to the shift supervisor or Director of Operations.
• Prepare and complete appropriate reports (PCRs, billing, exposure, incident reports, unit check-offs).
• Adhere to Ameri Pro EMS policies, procedures, guidelines, directives and standards; comply with state requirements for vehicle operation and licensing.
• Maintain readiness, professionalism, and a professional appearance while on duty and in uniform. Attend mandatory meetings and demonstrate consistent reliability.
• Demonstrate ability to lift, transfer, and maneuver patients safely; perform other duties as required.

• TN EMT certification in good standing; current National Registry certification if required by state; current CPR (BLS) certification.
• Valid state-specific Driver’s license.
• FEMA IS certifications: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800.
• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to read and understand medical terminology; proficient in documentation and report writing.

• Previous experience as an EMT or in a similar medical role.
• Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and/or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) training.
