The Instructional Design and Technology Specialist collaborates with the Curriculum and Instructional Design team and assigned Subject Matter Experts to develop high-quality, engaging, and accessible online learning experiences. This role applies learning management system (LMS) tools and approved third-party technologies to enhance student engagement, support instructional effectiveness, and ensure ADA compliance. Additional responsibilities that support faculty, students, and instructional initiatives may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor’s degree is required. Instructional or curriculum design background is preferred.

- Manage multiple projects with effective prioritization, organization, and attention to deadlines.
- Apply critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate advanced technology skills that will transfer to university and third-party platforms.
- Communicate clearly and professionally.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment and accountability.
- Pursue professional growth and lifelong learning in instructional design, educational technology, accessibility, and emerging best practices as provided.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to design innovative, outcomes-based online learning experiences.
- Apply established instructional design principles and best practices to support effective teaching and learning.
- Develop original, engaging, and interactive instructional content aligned with course objectives.
- Enhance curriculum through the strategic use of graphics, audio/video, and interactive simulations or gamified learning elements.
- Design and implement interactive rubrics to support assessment and student feedback.
- Research, evaluate, and implement emerging instructional technologies and methodologies to improve student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Ensure course content meets ADA and accessibility standards.
- Serve as a backup resource for online student and faculty technology support requests.
- Provide instructional and technical support to Lee Online and campus faculty for webinars, presentations, and instructional initiatives.
- Supervise and support student workers through training, mentoring, and ongoing guidance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, communicate verbally, and hear. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and bend or stoop for filing or related tasks. This position involves extensive use of a computer and other office technology.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment is primarily an office setting. Responsibilities may require the use of offices and conference rooms for collaboration and meetings, as well as a video studio and interactive classroom to support virtual instruction, webinars, and related activities.
