CITY FIELDS is a civic and social organization based in Cleveland, Tennessee. Our mission is to be a catalyst for change in Cleveland, Tennessee's most overlooked neighborhoods. We are a community development corporation (CDC) focused on economic, social, and structural change in our target neighborhoods. Led by resident voices, we address issues in our community by focusing on five key areas: physical revitalization, social revitalization, economic development, leadership development, and neighborhood safety.
Our primary programs include affordable home ownership, workforce development, and neighborhood engagement. We approach our team, neighbors, and partners through an asset-based lens, acknowledging and amplifying the strengths in each individual to help them reach their fullest potential.

Position SummaryCity Fields is seeking a dependable, organized, and mission-driven Administrative Assistant to support the day-to-day administrative operations of the organization. This part-time role (25 hours per week) is essential to maintaining efficient office operations and providing timely, professional support to staff, partners, and community members. The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in ensuring smooth communication, organization, and coordination across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Answer phones and manage email inquiries
- Maintain schedules, files, and basic office operations
- Provide administrative support to program staff
- Assist with data entry, events, and general office tasks
- Provide administrative support to program staff as needed
- Assist with data entry, tracking, and basic reporting
- Support workshops, events, and community meetings (including preparation of materials and follow-up)
- Assist with invoice processing, expense tracking, and basic recordkeeping
Order and manage office supplies - Support internal documentation and compliance-related processes
- Serve as an initial point of contact for community members and partners
- Assist with coordination and communication with external stakeholders
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a small nonprofit environment - Bilingual (fluent in both Spanish and English)
- Previous administrative experience, especially in a nonprofit or community-based setting
- Associate’s degree or higher
- Interest in community development or nonprofit work
- Part-time position, 25 hours per week
- Office-based in Cleveland, TN
- Occasional flexibility may be required to support events or meetings
- Hourly wage, position does not include benefits
- $20/hour
