LocationThis is an on‑site role based in Cleveland, OH, USA.
ScheduleThis is a full‑time position requiring an average of 40 hours per week, with some overtime as scheduled. A minimum of 30 hours per week is required to maintain benefit eligibility. Flexibility for nights and weekends may be required.
Compensation$19 per hour
About The JobAs our Warehouse Person, you’ll safely manage warehouse inventory, support inbound and outbound freight movement, and operate material‑handling equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and track mobiles. You will help maintain a safe work environment, follow all OSHA requirements, and ensure accurate documentation throughout all warehouse processes.
In This Role, You Will- Open and prepare the warehouse for daily operations; ensure safe working conditions.
- Operate remote‑controlled cranes and forklifts to safely move product.
- Operate track mobile equipment to maneuver railcars in and out of the building.
- Follow company guidelines for safe loading and unloading of materials.
- Pull work orders and perform inbound/outbound scanning using handheld devices.
- Inspect materials and note any exceptions or damages.
- Organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse.
- Package steel coils and prepare them for shipment.
- Remove bulkheads, clean out railcars, and prepare equipment for loading.
- Communicate any incidents, accidents, or damages immediately to management.
- Ensure equipment is not overloaded and all signaling procedures are followed.
- Conduct daily and routine equipment inspections, including fluid levels.
- Keep the warehouse clean and ensure materials are stored safely.
- Complete daily paperwork and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in meetings, cross‑training, and required certification programs.
- Ensure proper PPE is worn and maintained in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AND PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar warehouse or industrial role.
- Prior experience in transportation or metals warehousing preferred.
- Experience with forklifts, overhead cranes, track mobiles, and RFID handheld scanners preferred.
- Ability to type at least 30 WPM; basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow safety signals and instructions.
- Ability to inspect products, railcars, trailers, and use measurement devices.
- Ability to lift 20–50 lbs. occasionally, and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, climbing, crouching and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and initiative.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus.
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong time‑management skills.
- Experience operating heavy industrial equipment.
