Job Description:

Pay and Benefits
Pay of $20.03 per hour, with the opportunity for future increases per the applicable collective bargaining agreement wage scale based on time in position. Opportunities for overtime and shift premiums.

Job Summary
Ramp Agents work outside to guide planes, move bags and cargo, assist with de-icing during cold weather, and help keep our operation running smoothly. It is a busy, hands-on role performed with teamwork to ensure flights depart on time. See what a day on the ramp looks like: swa.is/Day On The Ramp
This is a part-time opportunity. Part-Time Employees typically work 32 hours over 5 days; schedules are determined by seniority-based bidding.
New hires complete 4–6 weeks of training. Training consists of 8 hours of classroom or on-the-job training over 5 days per week. After training, part-time schedules are 6.5-hour shifts over 5 days with potential mandatory overtime. This role is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Work schedules are based on seniority and may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Mandatory overtime may be required to support flight operations, with opportunities to trade shifts.
U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. is required. No current or future work authorization sponsorship is available.

Duties and Responsibilities- Provide friendly service and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers
- Work in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of the Company
- Provide legendary customer service by servicing aircraft at ramps and terminals
- Load, unload, service, guide, and direct Company Aircraft
- Receive and record customer baggage, air freight, mail and company materials as required
- Handle loading, stowing and unloading of baggage, cargo, airmail, air freight, ballast and company materials; submit Cargo Bin Loading Slips (CBLS) electronically or manually as required
- Transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft and prepare records
- Warehouse, weigh, stack, and deliver air cargo; check cargo against forms to identify mishandling or discrepancies
- Safeguard customers’ baggage, air cargo, air mail, and COMAT from weather, loss, theft, damage
- Use jetway stairs to carry items checked at the gate to the aircraft bin
- Review and correct cargo forms as necessary
- Perform interior aircraft cabin cleaning and sanitation per procedures
- Clean and service lavatories and operate related equipment
- May perform duties of a Provisioning Agent, stocking aircraft cabin interiors and maintaining inventory
