Lead Aircraft Fueler

Role Purpose

The Lead Aircraft Fueler will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the safe and efficient fueling/defueling and servicing of aircraft at the airport. This individual mentors other employees and maintains a safe and secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Lead team members while performing fueling/defueling services in a safe and efficient manner
  • Drive and operate fuel trucks, hydrant cards, and stationary carts to fuel aircraft
  • Train employees during on‑the‑job training or airline‑specific training and/or assign employees to work with experienced agents
  • Maintain accurate accounting of fuel transactions
  • Perform daily quality‑control checks on equipment
  • Maintain equipment in a clean and functional condition
  • Ensure correct loading and balancing of fuel
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with units of measure
  • Defuel aircraft as directed
  • Comply with attendance standards
  • Assist aircraft fuelers in their assigned areas to ensure they perform duties professionally, safely and efficiently according to company and carrier standards

What We Are Looking For
  • Prior aircraft fueling experience required
  • Commercial driver’s license or experience in the oil and gas industry (preferred)
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Pass pre‑employment colour‑vision test
  • Pass pre‑employment drug screen
  • Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English
  • Ability to lift and move up to 70 lb. while handling fueling carts and hoses
  • Basic math calculation skills
  • Comfortable working outdoor in all weather conditions
  • Pass background check and obtain U.S. Customs seal
  • Availability to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays
