Intermodal Dispatcher

Our client started in 1993 and is based out of Ohio, specializing in Intermodal Trucking and Container Yard Services. They provide transportation services in the Midwest and Southeast Region with 8 terminals strategically located in those regions to provide the best coverage. With their expert leadership team, they continue to grow and provide the smoothest transition from Port/Rail to Customer.

Job Type: Full-time;

• Coordinate and schedule shipments to ensure timely delivery of freight.
• Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track shipments and manage data entry.
• Maintain effective communication with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders via phone systems.
• Monitor fleet management operations to optimize routes and reduce delays.
• Handle dispatching duties while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when addressing inquiries or resolving issues.
• Upload dispatch documents.

• Experience in dispatching is preferred but willing to train candidate if needed.
• Proficient in using transportation management systems and data entry software.
• Strong phone etiquette skills for effective communication with drivers and clients.
• Knowledge of freight operations and regulations is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
