ResponsibilitiesAn SP+ Shuttle Driver DOT is responsible for the safe operation of shuttle buses and for transporting passengers, ensuring they reach their destination efficiently, safely, and seamlessly.
What You’ll Do- Go above and beyond to deliver an exceptional client and customer experience guided by the SP+ Promise, answering questions, offering city directions, and ensuring each customer interaction is positive.
- Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
- Be present at work every scheduled day, on time, and in uniform.
- Possess a valid state‑issued driver’s license, carried on duty at all times.
- Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
- Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
- Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc., to the garage office.
- Substitute for cashiers or valets when necessary, if authorized.
- Have thorough knowledge of all garage areas, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area to assist customers in a seamless transportation experience.
- Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items, if applicable (e.g., operating shuttle buses at an airport location).
- Assist the Facility Manager with other duties as needed.

What You Need- Qualification Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Education/Experience
Required:
Less than high school education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - License Requirement:
Per DOT regulations, you must hold and maintain a valid CDL Class A, B, or C driver’s license with a passenger endorsement. - DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
- Availability to Work:
Availability to work 3rd shift and/or week‑ends may be required. - Language
Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; to write simple correspondence; and to effectively present information in one‑on‑one situations to customers and other employees. - Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide two‑digit numbers; perform operations with units of American money; handle basic arithmetic. - Appearance:
Employees must maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times. - Physical Demands:
Employee will regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle cash and equipment; occasionally sit, climb, balance, lift, or move up to 75 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
$16.00 – $18.00 per hour
