In this role, you will play a key part in creating a safe, welcoming, and motivating environment, helping individuals of all backgrounds and fitness levels build healthy, active lifestyles through structured programs and education.
What You’ll DoAs a Fitness Specialist, you will:
Supervise and guide exercise activities in a safe, encouraging environment Monitor participants to ensure proper technique and injury prevention Assist with group fitness classes (as needed) Create and implement incentive programs that promote engagement and retention Educate members on class formats, goals, and expected outcomes Support departmental projects and special initiatives Schedule This position works rotating shifts:8:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM Some weekend availability is required.
What We’re Looking For An ideal candidate will have:
High School Diploma or GED At least 1 year of experience in a fitness center environment BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Strong communication and people skills Knowledge of exercise safety, motivation, and wellness promotion Ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds Flexibility and comfort in a fast‑paced, evolving environment This role is perfect for someone who believes in community, encouragement, and empowerment through wellness.
