Graduate Assistant - Women’s Volleyball

Overview

The women’s volleyball graduate assistant is responsible for assisting in all aspects of a competitive women’s collegiate volleyball program to include successfully organizing and implementing a recruiting/retention plan, integrating the program into the campus community, developing a vibrant summer camp program, supervising practice/contests, management of program budget, fundraising to support program and supporting student-athlete success.

• Assist in directing all aspects of the women’s volleyball program including, practice, competition, fundraising.
• Assist in developing and implementing an effective recruitment program, in coordination with Hiram College Admission's Office, to attract outstanding student-athletes.
• Adhere to all policies, rules and regulations of the Hiram College Athletic Department, the NCAA.
• Provide guidance and support to student-athletes towards achieving their greatest potential both academically and athletically.
• Monitor class schedules, grades and student-athlete academic progress.
• Contribute to the fundraising activities for women’s volleyball program.
• Assist the head coach in the development and operation of a successful summer camp program.
• Participate in the Annual Day with Hiram Golf Outing.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to interact professionally with students, staff, and guests of the college
• Attention to detail and good time management, organizational and prioritization skills
• Knowledge of all NCAA Division III rules
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License
• First Aid, AED & CPR certification required.
• Microsoft Word
• Excel
• Experience with Front Rush
• Proficient with all forms of social media

• Collegiate volleyball recruiting experience preferred.
• Summer Camp/Club experience preferred.
• Collegiate competitive experience preferred.

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Acceptance into the Hiram College MAIS Graduate Program or Sports Management Graduate program required for consideration
