API Developer: Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software applications and systems. This role involves creating scalable, high‑quality solutions, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and ensuring adherence to best practices in software development. As the organization’s business platforms group builds out net new domain APIs to support application modernization, the organization is challenged with standing up 40‑50 new domains over the course of the next 5 years.

• Design and implement software applications, APIs, and database enhancements aligned with business requirements.
• Develop, build, and test software systems ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code across programming languages.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA testers, and project managers to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, ensuring stability and reliability.
• Maintain technical documentation including design specifications and user guides.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers when applicable.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies and best practices.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and integration patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and source control systems.
