Shift: 11:00 pm – 7:30 am (rotating holidays and weekends)

Summary: Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical panels, conduits, wiring, fixtures, substations, motor controls, and control equipment in compliance with specifications, safety standards, and local, state, and national electrical codes. Ensures electrical systems are safe, reliable, and accessible for future maintenance, while supporting the uninterrupted operation of critical hospital infrastructure. The Electrician plays a key role in patient safety and in upholding the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The Metro Health System.
- HS Diploma or high‑school equivalency exam.
- Meet one of the following:
- Possess an Ohio Electrical Contractor’s License.
- Possess an Electrical Journeyman’s License.
- Documented 8 years of commercial or industrial electrician experience.
- 4 years of documented commercial or industrial electrician experience.
- Possess a current, valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to read and utilize blueprints.
- Solid problem‑solving skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision, or as part of a team.
- Willing and able to adjust from the standard work schedule as needed for operational coverage.
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
