Maintenance Technician – Cleveland, OH

Farbman Group is currently seeking a full time Maintenance Technician to join our team in Cleveland, OH.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Maintenance Technician to be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operations of our assigned building(s). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure our facilities are safe, efficient, and meet the needs of our tenants.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of all assigned buildings, machinery, equipment, and systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and necessary repairs on a wide range of building systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, and control systems.
• Diagnose and fix electrical issues, including lighting, power distribution panels, and emergency generators.
• Address plumbing problems such as leaks, clogs, and fixture repairs.
• Oversee and coordinate repair and maintenance work performed by contracted vendors.
• Monitor the operation of electrical and mechanical equipment supporting the facility and its critical operations.
• Respond promptly to work orders and service requests from tenants.
• Schedule equipment to be taken offline for preventative maintenance.
• Participate in facilities remodeling, new construction, and other planning activities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility maintenance.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical trades or equivalent HVAC and electrical engineering training.
• Proven experience in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems is required.
• Strong ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the root cause of problems, and implement corrective action.
• Capable of recognizing system issues and responding effectively to operational and emergency situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use electronic Work Orders Systems.
