Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Apartment Patrol in Cleveland, OH
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will engage with students, faculty, staff, and visitors, provide clear communication, document observations, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care.

Job Schedule
Day Time Mon 02:45 PM - 11:00 PM, Tue 02:45 PM - 11:00 PM, Wed 02:45 PM - 11:00 PM, Thur 02:45 PM - 11:00 PM, Fri 02:45 PM - 11:00 PM
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and security-related protocols, and/or supporting emergency response activities when directed.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate campus contacts and/or public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, and perimeter routes to help deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance issues.
- Monitor entry points and common areas, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization when applicable, and report policy violations and/or concerning behavior through established reporting channels.
- Complete routine reports, shift logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives during shift turnovers.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
