Job Description As a Security Officer - Clinic Patrol in Cleveland, OH
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast‑paced healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and help to deter security‑related incidents while supporting hospital operations, including vaccine‑related areas. You will greet staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism, communicate clearly, and document activity as needed.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior corridors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management by providing directions, verifying authorization as required by site policy, and reporting access concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious behavior, missing persons notifications, and/or medical area support requests as directed.
  • Observe and report hazards, unsecured doors, malfunctioning lighting, and other conditions that may impact operations, then submit work orders and/or notifications per site procedure.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity documentation in a timely manner using required reporting systems.
  • Communicate clearly with hospital staff, facilities teams, and emergency services as needed, using radios, phones, and/or other approved communication tools.
  • Support de‑escalation efforts during tense interactions and assist with maintaining orderly environments in waiting areas, lobbies, and other high‑traffic spaces.
  • Operate within assigned post orders, including identification display, uniform standards, and compliance with healthcare privacy expectations while performing security‑related duties.
Minimum Requirements
  • Vaccines are required for hospital sites.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
