Position Overview

The Hotel Security Supervisor supports Savour Hospitality commitment to safety, security, and exceptional guest service by leading daily security operations at the property level. This position supervises Security Officers, ensures compliance with Marriott brand standards and local regulations, and serves as a key leader during incidents, emergencies, and high‑profile events.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate Security Officers across all assigned shifts
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott Safety & Security standards, policies, and procedures
  • Act as the on‑duty Security Supervisor and support the Manager on Duty as required
  • Conduct routine patrols of hotel premises, including guest areas, back‑of‑house, parking facilities, and perimeter
  • Respond to guests and associates’ incidents with professionalism, discretion, and a service‑first mindset
  • Oversee CCTV monitoring, access control systems, alarm systems, and key control
  • Complete accurate incident reports, daily logs, and follow‑up documentation in accordance with Marriott guidelines
  • Coordinate security coverage for VIP guests, group arrivals, special events, and high‑occupancy periods
  • Partner with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical services as needed
  • Train, coach, and mentor Security Officers to uphold Marriott’s culture, professionalism, and service excellence
  • Identify potential safety risks and recommend preventive measures to hotel leadership
  • Support loss prevention initiatives to protect guests, associates, and hotel assets

Required

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college coursework in criminal justice, hospitality, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2–3 years of hotel or hospitality security experience
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of emergency response procedures, incident management, and guest service standards
  • Ability to remain calm, decisive, and professional in high‑pressure situations
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of CCTV(surveillance cameras), access control, and incident reporting systems
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
Work Conditions & Physical Demands
  • Work performed indoors and outdoors in a commercial setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, people, and equipment.
  • Able to work independently or as a team member and support managers with special projects.
  • Strong collaboration skills – works well across functional areas – excellent relationship‑building skills; able to collaborate with various levels of the organization.
