Overview
The ideal candidate would be a challenger and a hunter responsible for identifying, prospecting and closing sales into the Pharmaceutical, Sterile Manufacturing, Biotech and Personal Care space. This individual will work in their region to ensure that all base business is maintained and all new business is serviced after the sale. Works to insure sales growth and market share consistent with budget and business plan.

Responsibilities- Takes the lead in Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Personal Care accounts to drive revenue across the complete portfolio.
- Maintains a “hunter mentality” to pursue opportunities within the assigned market.
- Works closely with end users and distribution to ensure account control and alignment with budgets.
- Utilizes Marketing and sales resources to develop, implement and track targeted programs, direct and through distribution.
- Is accountable for core media sales and capital equipment sales based on assigned budgets and for the financial performance of assigned accounts.
- Collaborates with ISS, marketing, and management to adopt a system-sell approach into large Pharmaceutical and Personal Care accounts, coordinating with bench personnel to senior managers.
- Serves as the market regulatory expert for Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Personal Care, understanding how regulations impact incoming raw materials through process validation and testing.
- This is a field-based, individual-contributor role focused on building markets for new technology and medical practices.
- BA/BS in Life Sciences, biological disciplines, business or related field;
Microbiology preferred. - Minimum 3 years of documented sales success (top 20%) in broad-range laboratory products; minimum 1 year laboratory and/or multi-level selling experience preferred.
- Experience in Manufacturing Sales in Pharmaceutical/medical device/Compounding Pharmacy/food testing, or QC/QA is required.
- Capital equipment experience preferred.
- Ability to initiate direct sales calls with distributors to protect existing sales and identify additional revenue opportunities.
- Forecasting activity and closing as required by management.
- Provide ongoing post-sales support and effective communication with the Service organization to ensure successful installation and long-term customer satisfaction.
- Manage administrative duties: budget monitoring, timely reporting, funnel and competitive data entries, new contracts and renewals, and compliance with OHSA and laboratory precautions.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed overall sales profitability and other assigned goals.
- Knowledge of selling processes and building/maintaining customer loyalty.
- Strong capabilities in preparation, presentation and closing with direct sales, distribution channels, or team selling.
- Strong organizational skills, multi-state territory management, account assessment, and relationship development; analytical with financial orientation for contracts and profitability.
- Ability to develop markets for new technology and medical practices; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy with MS Office and related tools; willingness to travel overnight 50%+ as required.
The salary offered is based on experience, education, skills, and location. Salary ranges may vary for field-based and remote roles. Annual Range includes Base + Incentive: $125,992 - $207,888.
