Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive - Hospice to expand our hospice services in the Cleveland market. This role focuses on building strong referral networks, growing patient census, and positioning our organization as the trusted partner for end-of-life care. The ideal candidate is a skilled relationship builder, strategic thinker, and sales leader with a passion for making a difference in patients and families lives.

Responsibilities

Market Growth & Business Development

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase hospice referrals and expand into new markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, and community organizations.
  • Lead targeted sales initiatives to achieve patient census and revenue goals.

Relationship Management & Outreach

  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with referral partners to understand needs and present solutions.
  • Participate in community events, health fairs, and networking opportunities to raise awareness.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing education on hospice care benefits.

Sales Operations & Performance Tracking

  • Track key metrics for referrals, acquisition, and retention, using data to guide strategy.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to ensure service delivery supports sales goals.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • 7+ years of hospice business development or sales leadership experience.
  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of hospice industry regulations, trends, and patient needs.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Well Sky preferred) and data-driven decision-making.
  • Knowledge of Medicare reimbursement processes and financial planning.
Work Environment
  • Office-based with regular travel to referral sources, clients, and events within the Ohio market.
  • Fast-paced, competitive environment requiring adaptability and strong organizational skills.
Success in This Role Will Be Measured By:
  • Growth in patient census, revenue, and referral partnerships.
  • Expansion into new geographic areas and service lines.
  • Strengthening brand reputation as a trusted hospice provider.
