WAITER/WAITRESS (FULL TIME & PART TIME)

Bon Appetit Management Company is hiring at Case Western University, Cleveland, OH. Positions are available for both full time and part time schedules. Application is accepted online only.

Takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests.

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverages in an efficient manner, following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients; advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks and accommodate reasonable requests.
• Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
• Maintain excellent communication skills and work well with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests.
• Keep area clean and neat while maintaining sanitation standards.
• Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines.
• Work with staff of other departments to perform duties during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• One year of previous experience in a similar role.
• Full-time or part-time schedule with open availability; flexible to work various days and hours.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to handle cash and follow proper cash-handling procedures.

Fixed pay rate: $12.00 per hour. Internal employee referral bonus is available.
