Overview
Description:
The Quality Technician is responsible for performing advanced inspections, programming and operating specialized quality systems, and ensuring compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. This position plays a key role in developing and supporting automated quality control processes, including laser marking, vision inspection, and traceability systems, while collaborating closely with Production, Engineering, and Purchasing to identify, document, and resolve quality issues efficiently.

Reports to Quality Manager
Responsibilities- Perform receiving and in-process inspections on raw materials, components, and finished goods to ensure they meet specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
- Program, configure, and operate Keyence IM-X Instant Measurement System for product measurement and quality verification purposes.
- Set up, calibrate, and utilize automated vision inspection systems and measurement equipment.
- Accurately read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to verify product conformity.
- Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Document inspection results, maintain records, and prepare detailed reports in accordance with company quality procedures.
- Identify, segregate, and document nonconforming materials, and support root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with teams to communicate inspection results and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with calibration and preventive maintenance of all inspection and laser marking equipment.
- Support compliance with ISO 9001, customer-specific, and regulatory quality requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or an associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Automation, or a related field is preferred.
- 2–4+ years of experience in a quality inspection or advanced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Keyence IM-X Instant Measurement System programming and basic automation integration.
- Strong knowledge of measurement techniques and inspection tools.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience in Coordinated Measurement Machine (CMM).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
- Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
