Pay Package:

• Gross: $2,827.44

• Taxable: $1,525.32

• Tax-Free Stipend: $1,302.12/week

* Note:

Must have MS oncology and at least 1 year hematology / oncology experience in work history and checklist- 1 year minimum to Screen

ONS CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

Staffing ratios - goal is 1:4, but can be 1:5

• Weekends - variable based on unit needs

• No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff

• Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule

• First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptor

• Floating to other Med/Surg and Oncology Units

Patient Diagnoses

• Lymphoma

• Multiple Myeloma

• Acute leukemias

• Chronic Leukemias

• Sickle Cell Disease

• other non hem cancers

• Other benign hematology

Special Procedures/Unit Details

• Chemotherapy

• Blood transfusions

• IV Antibiotics

• Oncologic emergencies: tumor lysis syndrome, cytokine release syndrome

• Insulin drips

• Heparin drips

• Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls

Skills Required

• MS/Tele

• Telemetry

• Interpretation of dysrhythmias

• Telemetry
-on the unit monitoring

• Use of Rapid Response Teams

• Feeding tube care and management
IV therapy/Phlebotomy

• Blood Product Administration

• Central line blood draw

• Peripheral Line Care/Management

• PICC line management

• Starting IVs

Requirements

• Active LVN/LPN License

• BLS, ACLS, ONC

• Flu vaccination required/Declination

• 1+ year as LPN in SNF Preferred

Preferred:
Experience in Geriatrics or SNF, familiar with Point Click Care
