Description
University Hospitals is looking for talented experienced nurses to join the compassionate care team of Northeast Ohio’s Only Level 1 Pediatric Emergency Trauma Center.
Children are treated at the Marcy R. Horvitz Pediatric Emergency Center at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. As the only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center in Cleveland, UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital is equipped to handle the most serious emergencies involving children.
- We provide emergency care to infants, children and adolescents up to age 18
- We provide trauma center care to infants, children and adolescents up to 16
- We provide care to young adults who are still under the care of a pediatrician, or who have certain chronic conditions diagnosed in infancy/childhood
Full time and varying shifts available including:
Evening/Night Rotation OR straight Night. All positions require both weekend and holiday coverage.

- YOU will provide safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
- YOU will implement the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care.
- YOU will Demonstrate technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
- YOU will demonstrate clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
- YOU will develop yourself and contributes to the professional practice of nursing.
- YOU will display leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
