Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit contract requiring 18 months of stepdown experience and an active OH or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
• Position is in a hospital Stepdown unit
• Care for adult progressive care/stepdown patients
• 3x12 hour shifts per week with rotating day and night shifts (7am-7:30pm/7pm-7:30am) as needed to meet hospital operations
• Travelers may have their shift preference considered but must agree to rotation if required
• Traveler required to work at least every other holiday
• Assignments at Cleveland Clinic locations cannot exceed 18 consecutive months
• After 18 months, a 6-month break is required before returning for a new assignment at any location within the system
• Must provide coverage for every other major holiday as scheduled
• Testing on ECG and medication safety is completed during orientation
Requirements
• Active permanent OH or compact RN license in hand
• 18 months of recent Stepdown experience required; travel experience acceptable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from AHA or American Red Cross required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments must be completed during orientation with acceptable results
