Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience and a current OH or compact RN license.

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a major hospital setting
• Required to work 3x12 hour shifts per week with day/night rotation; shifts may vary to meet hospital needs
• Preference for shift will be considered but rotation may be required
• Patient population includes general adult med/surg and telemetry cases
• Rotation through day and night shifts may be required based on facility needs
• Must work at least every other holiday as scheduled
• Passing ECG and safe Medicate assessments during orientation is required (maximum two attempts)
• Permanent and per diem staff must wait one year before returning to facility assignments
• Annual and pre-start training modules required and completed through Silkroad
• Must complete fingerprinting and badging onsite prior to start date
• Nurses are temporarily exempt from nicotine screening requirements
• PAPR alternatives allowed only with approved medical or religious exemption for facial hair

• Active permanent Ohio or compact state RN license in hand
• Minimum 18 months of permanent MS/Tele RN experience, including travel or perm roles
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safe Medicate assessment during orientation
• No license hits or open BG cases will be considered
