As an RN in the Dialysis ICU, you will provide care to patients who need hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, intermittent hemodialysis, prolonged intermittent renal replacement therapy and continuous renal replacement therapy. An RN in this role will be highly inspired to obtain the BONENT certification.

This position requires a caregiver who is empathetic, understanding and nurturing to ensure quality patient care and effective life-saving treatment.

A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. + on-call variable shifts with weekend and holiday rotation requirements. Must be able to float to other CCF eastern region locations which include Euclid, Hillcrest, and Marymount Hospitals.### A caregiver who excels in this role will:
• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  
• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within first year of employment
• One year of current acute care (ICU, critical care, PCU) RN experience OR military RN experience
• Inpatient hospital experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  
• Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
• Dialysis experience###
