Communications Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary media contact for local, regional, and national outlets
• Lead public relations efforts, including press releases, media pitches, and media kits
• Shape and protect the organization’s voice, narrative, and reputation
• Create compelling written content for media, partners, and internal audiences
• Manage and grow GCSC’s digital presence, including website and social media platforms
• Collaborate closely with digital marketing and creative teams
• Plan and oversee on-site media operations for hosted events
• Track and report on communications performance using analytics tools

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in sports communications, PR, media relations, or sports information
• Exceptional AP Style writing and editing skills
• Experience working with media in fast-paced, high-visibility environments
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience with social media platforms and analytics tools
• Familiarity with AI tools for copywriting and productivity is a plus

Compensation for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and overall qualifications, within the established salary range $60,000-$65,000.
