Mechanical Assembler – Contract-to-Hire (Day Shift)

Cleveland, OH (near 49th Street & I-480)

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

$17/hour

On-site

• You’ll be working in a clean, well‑organized assembly area where you’ll build components for shrink‑wrapping machines and stainless‑steel tables.
• This is hands‑on, mechanical work using both hand tools and power tools.
• You’ll follow detailed instructions to ensure each machine or product is assembled accurately.

• Assemble parts and components for small packaging machines
• Use hand and power tools to complete mechanical builds
• Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures
• Read and interpret written directions in English
• Lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation
• Collaborate with team members and follow safety guidelines

• Mechanical assembly or general manufacturing experience is preferred
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions in English
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a hands‑on environment
• Reliable attendance and a good work ethic are a must
• Strong hand‑eye coordination and ability to stay focused on repetitive tasks
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Safety glasses required (provided on site)
• Must pass a 5‑panel drug screen and background check

This is a busy, growing manufacturing company that builds specialized equipment for the food industry. You’ll start in the mechanical assembly area, often working at a station with clear tasks. The team is friendly, experienced, and values people who take pride in doing the job right. You'll be trained and supported but should be comfortable working independently once trained. The atmosphere is relaxed but productive — jeans, t‑shirt, and closed‑toe shoes are appropriate.
