Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis and tests of raw materials, in-process materials and finished product samples of manufactured/intermediate products to verify conformity to specifications.
  • Conduct incoming raw materials testing, ensuring conformance to required specifications.
  • Record test results on batch tickets and in the company’s computer operating system.
  • Organize and maintain quality records and retain production/intermediate batches and raw material champions.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of tests—set up, adjust, verify, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Maintain housekeeping of the working place.
  • Respect the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality policy.
  • Evaluate retains of production batches in response to quality complaints.
  • Perform 5S audits or other audits according to a plan.
  • Support all Quality Control related One PPG initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a two-year technical degree preferred (Quality, Engineering, or other sciences) or three or more years of related experience and/or training.
  • Two (2) years of analytical laboratory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
