Material Handler

Position Summary

This position is responsible for all packing and shipping activity of customer orders and other, as well as receiving all goods that come into the building. This position uses the ERP system (Navision) in all its functions to record all transactions occurring within the shipping/receiving department.

1st Shift M-F

$24.60/HR

Essential Job Functions

· Read, inspect, and stock orders

· Pack and weigh orders

· Operate pallet jack and tow motor

· Delivery of received goods to appropriate associates

· Appropriate interaction with carriers and other vendors

· Use Navision and other computer programs to enter and track all work

· Assist in instructing personnel in proper methods for department maintenance procedures

· Work with supervisors, and others on projects and programs

· Instruct other employees as necessary

· Maintain inventory of shipping and receiving supplies, including tracking and ordering of materials

· Keep work area clean

Essential Skills & Experience

· HS Diploma or equivalent

· Basic reading, math, and computer skills

· Ability to operate pallet jack and tow motor, including obtaining proper certification

· Interpersonal skills appropriate for interaction with management, fellow employees, and vendors

· Good attendance and punctuality

· Attention to detail required

· Able to operate Pallet Jack and Tow Motor (Be able to be trained and receive a License)

· Basic reading, math and computer skills

· Work with supervisors, vendors, suppliers, and other personal in a professional manner

· Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

· Regularly required to talk, hear, use hands, and stand for extended periods of time
