- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and capacity constraints.
- Adjust schedules in response to delays, equipment issues, or material shortages.
- Coordinate with department leads to ensure labor and equipment are aligned with schedule requirements.
- Review material requirements and ensure raw materials and components are available to meet production needs.
- Work with procurement to expedite or delay orders as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory data and participate in cycle counts when required.
- Collaborate with operations, quality, engineering, and logistics to ensure smooth workflow.
- Monitor production performance against schedule; identify bottlenecks and propose improvements.
- Track and report key metrics such as on-time delivery (OTD), capacity utilization, and schedule adherence.
- Support process-improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Assist in developing best practices for planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field (preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Epicor).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
