2nd Shift Production Supervisor

ZENEX International is an established but growing manufacturer of high quality industrial and institutional chemical products. We are working with our partner, a manufacturer in Downtown Cleveland to support recruitment efforts as we continue to build on our success and improve our operations.

2nd Shift Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift

Hours:

Mon - Thurs days 1:30 PM - 12:30 AM.

Responsible for the supervision of production employees in their daily activities. Make job assignments for plant personnel. Studies production schedules and estimates worker requirements. Establishes and adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers.

Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Maintains time and production records. Interprets specifications and job orders to workers. Works closely with Production Coordinator to achieve production goals.

Requirements:

• Direct and supervise all 2nd shift production operations.
• Execute the production schedule, ensuring timely changeovers, minimal downtime, and adherence to production goals.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching and training to team members.
• Ensure the employees under their supervision have received proper training in:
• Operation of equipment (tow-motors, distillations, pumps, etc.).
• Proper safety procedures.
• Proper emergency procedures.
• Quickly identify and resolve mechanical, process, and/or staffing issues that impact production flow.
• Recommend and implement proves improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Ensure the facility stays in compliance with all applicable regulations, permits, and operating conditions. Notifies company management – Vice President of Operations/President – of any noncompliance or potential noncompliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements:

• Strong organizational, multitasking, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication abilities (written and verbal).
• Ability to work in team setting and make quick, informed decisions.
• Physically able to lift, move, and organize materials as needed.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Prior experience in a similar leadership or point-person role.
• Familiarity with lean warehouse practices and process improvement.
• Experience in Industrial Management and Aerosol Industry.

Physical Requirement

• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing plant
• Reach, squat, bend, and lift up to 25lbs.
