Job Description

Reporting into the Operations Manager – Advanced Materials, the Production Operator will be based in Cleveland, Ohio and will be responsible for the day-to-day safe operation in Electronic Materials. This includes operating mills, screeners, blenders, furnaces, ovens, scales, lift trucks, and mobile equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all safety rules and use of proper PPE.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures.
  • Read and understand all necessary production instructions, spreadsheets, and reports.
  • Operate equipment including Mixer and Blenders (Non-Lead, Bismuth, and/or Lead), Crucible Melters, Continuous Melters, Batch Mills (Dry, Water, and/or Solvent), Continuous Mill, Hammer Mill, Dryers, Screening equipment, Forklift, Walk-behind, Pallet Jacks.
  • Maintain compliance with Vibrantz Code of Business Ethics, policies, procedures, management systems, and all applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety Regulations.
  • Act in accordance with Vibrantz Values and Behaviors.
  • Maintain compliance with all Federal, State, and Local Environmental regulations and Vibrantz Safety Standards as well as EHS site requirements at all times.
  • Adhere to the Collective Bargaining Agreement and attendance policies.
Required Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Preferred Experience
  • High School Education or GED
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task under time constraints
  • Ability to thrive in a team atmosphere
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
  • Walk, sit, stand, bend, lift, shovel, scoop, and move continuously during an 8-hour shift.
  • Able to climb stairs
  • Subject to lifting 50 lbs
  • Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment
  • Regularly exposed to dust and fumes; materials present include Pb, Ba, Ca, SiO2; additional chemicals may include methanol and isopropyl alcohol, handled with protective equipment
  • All noise exposure is below 85 dB TWA
  • PPE provided by the company: hard hat, safety shoes, safety glasses with side shields, respirator, gloves, coat, face shield;
    Tyvek suit as exposure dictates
  • OSHA lead blood tests every 6 months and yearly medical testing (on-site and at company expense)
