Architectural Fiberglass, Inc. (AFI) is one of the premier fiberglass manufacturers leading the industry for over 20 years in design and manufacture of custom fiberglass in our state of the art manufacturing facility in Cleveland, OH. We custom design and manufacture interior and exterior decorative fiberglass reinforced polymer (FTP) ornamentation for the restoration, reproduction and new construction industries.
AFI is looking to hire Grinders/Sanders Employees to help our business continue to grow. This candidate must be organized, self-motivated, and able to communicate with professionalism.
This is a unique position that requires SOME EXPERIENCE USING ELECTRIC OR AIR POWER TOOLS. WE WILL TRAIN ALL OTHER ASPECTS OF THIS JOB. All that is needed to become an AFI employee is the willingness to learn and the desire to put forth your best efforts.
Responsibilities- Cutting or sanding fiberglass flanges or run-offs that are not part of the finished part.
- Sanding or grinding fiberglass thickness so units fit properly.
- Participate in a quality inspection and repair unit(s) with the specified colored gelcoat or bondo.
- Carry units to and from the grinding/sanding area as needed.
- Clean area after use and perform general housekeeping plus any other duties that the Supervisor may request.
- Some experience using electric or air power tools is desired; training on all other aspects of the job will be provided.
- Ability to follow directions and work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
