Maintenance Technician – Monarch Steel Company, Inc.

$24.00/hr – $32.00/hr

• Under direction from the Maintenance Supervisor, perform installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of both production equipment and the physical plant.
• Embrace the 1 T.E.A.M. culture.
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and the physical plant.
• Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work and in accordance with Safety Policy and OSHA standards.
• Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping procedures, and adhering to safety guidelines.
• Perform preventive maintenance on the production equipment and physical plant.
• Install new equipment and systems.
• Start and complete Work Request form(s) within the manufacturing data system.
• Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

• None.

• Experience in welding and cutting.
• Forklift/crane certification.
• Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic repairs and installation.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and the use of a multimeter.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the company.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work instructions, operating instructions, maintenance information and procedure manuals written in English.
• Basic math ability: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (required).
• One‑year certificate from a technical school (preferred).
• Industry knowledge and experience (a plus).
