3rd Shift Machine Operator

Plasman is currently seeking a new member to join our Process team as a Machine Operator.

• Operate the machine in a safe manner at all times and follow the safety measures set by management.
• Report directly to the Process Supervisor.
• Check scrap sheet hourly to assure the machine is operating correctly. Monitor rectifiers for correct current and amperage.
• Follow daily voltage settings and inspect parts from decorative chrome for needed adjustments.
• Take hourly temperatures of designated tanks with thermometer; watch bath levels and adjust as needed.
• Keep machine catwalks clear and check tanks for floating parts; handle accordingly.
• Watch for lost parts and coordinate with Line Lead and Supervisors to correct.
• Clear machine jam-ups safely; perform preventative maintenance on machines when required.
• Promote an atmosphere of teamwork and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Comply with the Company Health & Safety Program including applicable regulations, standards and policies.

• High School Diploma or GED certificate preferred.
• Machine Operator experience; good working knowledge of products may substitute experience.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Basic math skills; mechanical aptitude; self-motivated with the ability to meet lifting requirements (lift 50 pounds occasionally or 25-40 pounds regularly, without assistance).
• Able to work hours before and after assigned shift, including weekends as needed.
• Minimum training: SDS sheets; awareness of Quality, Environmental Health & Safety, and other relevant Company Policy;
  New Employee Orientation when required.
• Other requirements: basic math, self-motivation, mechanical aptitude.
