Job Description

The Lab Technician will perform laboratory tests and other laboratory work using both conventional and computerized machines. Responsibilities include preparing and painting panels, determining chemical and physical characteristics or compositions, setting up and operating laboratory equipment and instruments, and formulating paints. The role involves documentation, data analysis, and running physical and wet chemistry tests such as viscosity, pH, and titrations. The technician will work as part of a larger team.

Responsibilities

* Perform laboratory tests using conventional and computerized machines.

* Prepare and paint panels.

* Determine chemical and physical characteristics or compositions.

* Set up, readjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.

* Formulate paints.

* Conduct documentation and data analysis.

* Run routine and specific physical tests on paints.

* Conduct wet chemistry tests including viscosity, pH, and titrations.

* Pour and mix paints.

Essential Skills

* Experience with laboratory testing techniques.

* Knowledge in Chemistry, particularly Wet Chemistry and Titration.

* Basic lab quality check techniques.

* Understanding of Quality Control and GMP.

* Familiarity with chemical and coating processes.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* High school diploma is required. (Prefer Bachelor's in Chemistry or the sciences)

* Coatings experience is highly preferred.

* Organic Chemistry coursework is a plus.

* Attention to detail and professionalism.

* Basic lab knowledge and ability to perform basic lab tests.

Work Environment

The position is based in a laboratory environment, working Monday through Friday from 7 am to 4 pm, with no weekend shifts. The role may involve occasionally lifting paint buckets weighing up to 50 lbs. Working in a collaborative team setting provides opportunities for networking and growth. The lab is located in Brecksville, OH.

This is a Contract position based out of Cleveland, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
