The Plant Operations Manager will lead all production employees, processes, and day-to-day plant operations. This role focuses on maximizing equipment utilization, improving labor productivity, enforcing safety standards, and driving continuous improvement using LEAN manufacturing principles. The position partners closely with the Plant Manager and department leaders to ensure on-time delivery, quality compliance, and operational excellence.

• Oversee all plant production operations and workforce
• Ensure safety, compliance, and operational efficiency
• Implement LEAN manufacturing and process improvements
• Drive productivity, quality, and cost optimization
• Develop and update SOPs for equipment and workflows
• Manage equipment maintenance and capital investments
• Create and implement employee training programs
• Support hiring, onboarding, and workforce development

• Plant operations and production management
• LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement
• Process reengineering and workflow optimization
• Safety compliance and risk management
• SOP creation and process documentation
• Vendor and supplier management
• Equipment maintenance and capacity planning

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of senior leadership experience in metals/steel or heavy manufacturing (mandatory)
• 3+ years of direct oversight of hourly production employees
• Hands-on experience with LEAN Manufacturing (required)
• Six Sigma or similar certification (preferred)
• Experience in fabrication or industrial production environments (strong plus)
• Prior experience managing vendors and maintenance teams
