POSITION SUMMARY

Borden Dairy is seeking adetail-oriented and quality-focused profession alto join our team as a
Lab Technician
. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for performing laboratory testing to ensure that all products are produced, packaged, and prepared for delivery in accordance with safety and quality standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct microbiological, chemical, physical, and sensory analyses of dairy products.
  • Hold, release, or reject finished goods based on analytical results.
  • Verify product compliance with specifications and promptly report any deviations to management.
  • Perform in-plant checks including weights, temperatures, ingredient usage, product appearance, code dates, pH levels, andmetal detection.
  • Calibrate and perform scheduled preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Conduct daily evaluations of finished products.
  • Perform environmental testingto ensure sanitary conditions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all laboratory tests and procedures.
  • Ensure aclean, sanitary, and safe laboratory environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or related field, preferred.
  • Previous experience in a laboratory environment required.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; capable of performing basic mathematical calculations and accurately recording data.
  • Proficient in following standard operating procedures and safety protocols with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shiftsas required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast‑paced, dynamic environments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend.
  • Must be able to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; and occasionally 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to work for extended periods in a cold, damp environment.
