Job SummaryWe are seeking a talented NPD New Product Development to join our team. The NPD is responsible for the following:
Responsibilities- Research and develop select suppliers from current supply base within key New Product Development (NPD) commodities. Attend trade shows for identification and development of new suppliers to support NPD. Develop new quotations with select suppliers, identifying any potential discrepancies between the customer’s specifications and the supplier’s abilities.
- Maintain organized documentation for NPD parts going through the New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, following and expediting parts throughout the processes as needed.
- Aid in issue resolution (i.e., cost, delivery, production changes) on NPD products, collaborating with suppliers, customers, and internal departments as needed. Provide technical assistance to suppliers or assist in obtaining technical assistance internally as needed.
- Work with Inside Sales across the organization to help grow quotation opportunities and increase success rate on NPD opportunities. Provide sourcing suggestions and direction as needed for NPD products.
- Work alongside PMC Sourcing Analyst on sourcing analytics for PMC and NPD sourcing strategies to increase hit rate and long-term growth.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school
- 2 years’ work experience in a sourcing, manufacturing, or engineering related role.
- Knowledge of Quality Systems and AIAG requirements is a plus
- A technical aptitude with the ability to read and understand prints and other technical specification documentation.
