Looking for someone to be a part of a leading manufacturer specializing in precision components and mechanical systems. As part of our strategic growth plan, we are expanding our gear manufacturing capabilities to better serve current markets and reach new customers. We’re seeking an experienced Gear Manufacturing Engineer to play a key role in building and refining our gear production processes from the ground up.
Responsibilities- Lead and improve the gear manufacturing processes to optimize quality, cost, and efficiency
- Take ownership of improving and optimizing manufacturing methods to enhance quality, reduce cost, and drive efficiency.
- Create and maintain CNC programs, process documents, and operational standards for consistent production.
- Design tooling, fixtures, and inspection procedures that ensure precision and repeatability.
- Act as a key liaison between engineering and shop floor teams to solve production issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on lean principles and cost reduction.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards like ISO-9000 and TS-16949, supporting audit readiness and best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to shop floor personnel, helping to build a high-performing manufacturing team.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred
- 5–10 years of hands‑on manufacturing or process engineering experience
- Experience in gear hobbing and gear shaping manufacturing techniques
- Strong problem‑solving, technical, and planning skills
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and understanding GD&T
- Experience with CNC programming and inspection planning
- Effective communication and team collaboration abilities
