Position: Machinist (2nd Shift)

Overview

Join us as a Machinist (2nd Shift) and see how your variety of routine and non-routine machining make a difference and how critical it is to helping us deliver on our purpose and achieve our goals.

Element is searching for a self-motivated, mechanically inclined person to add to the Machine shop. This role will be responsible for operating various Machine Shop equipment in the production process.

Element is a world renown Aerospace Testing Company with clients such as Boeing, Space

X and Blue Origin.

Hours:

4:30pm-1am, 2nd shift - $1 shift diff added to salary

Salary: $20-$26/hr

Responsibilities
  • Willing to train the right candidate
  • Set-up
    , Operate and Monitor CNC and conventional machinery to ensure that production is completed in a timely manner, including machining a variety of samples to close tolerances
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, operating instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals
  • Select
    , Align
    , and Secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials on machines
  • Ability to use machine tools and inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers
Skills / Qualifications

This is a fast-paced environment, and we need someone who is proactive, self-motivated and a team player. The person for this role will be a specialist in their field, respected by all who they work with, keen to learn and enthusiastic in the face of challenge. You will:

  • HS diploma or GED required
  • Experience using basic hand tools
  • Previous shop experience a plus
  • Technical/vocational training in related field a plus
  • WILLING TO TRAIN THE RIGHT CANDIDATE
