Walter USA, LLC is a leader in cutting tools and engineering. We are seeking a production unit manager to oversee operations, ensure safety compliance, drive manufacturing excellence, and support strategic initiatives.

• Continually improve safety record by addressing physical safety issues and employee safety behaviors.
• Ensure operations comply with Walter Code of Conduct and legal standards.
• Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to align with Walter’s strategic initiatives.
• Maintain processes in line with Walter group standards and directives.
• Secure and implement plans to achieve supply goals: production volumes, cost productivity, personnel productivity, lead‑times, rejection rates, quality and continuous improvement.
• Minimize manufacturing costs through effective use of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials and capital.
• Manage spending against budget and adjust for changes in production volume.
• Plan and develop strategic supply capabilities in terms of facilities, equipment and staffing.
• Develop and maintain a highly motivated team with flexibility.
• Ensure leaders and managers act in accordance with the Walter Leadership Model.

• Relevant university degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Production or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of senior operations management experience in cutting tools, automotive or light engineering industry in a multinational environment.
• Background with Lean Manufacturing: setting up and maintaining lean processes, issue follow‑up, customer support, global and matrix organization experience.
• Strong knowledge of industry and applications.
• High level of business acumen, business relations and project management.
• Organized and able to work independently.
• Proficiency in English, written and spoken.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to promote team advancement in processes and build a climate that supports excellent performance.
• Experience leading people in new directions and challenging environments.
• Knowledge of leading and implementing change projects with significant impact on work and organization.

Walter USA, LLC offers a highly competitive performance‑based compensation program and generous benefits package that includes life, health, and dental insurance, paid vacation and holidays, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Salary range $140,000 to $160,000.
