A privately held organization with a growing national footprint is seeking a Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions to lead corporate development strategy and oversee end‑to‑end execution of acquisition initiatives. This role will guide the company’s expansion efforts by identifying opportunities, evaluating targets, and driving disciplined integration across the enterprise.
The VP will serve as a senior leader responsible for shaping the organization’s long‑term growth through intelligent deal sourcing, financial evaluation, and strategic alignment. This position requires strong judgment, a deep understanding of transaction structures, and the ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership, legal teams, and operational stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities- Identify and assess acquisition opportunities aligned with corporate strategy
- Oversee the full lifecycle of deals, including sourcing, financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and negotiation
- Work with external advisors, investment bankers, and consultants as needed
- Develop financial models and board‑ready materials to support decision making
- Partner with leadership to design integration plans that ensure post‑acquisition success
- Lead cross‑functional work streams to evaluate operational, financial, and cultural fit
- Monitor industry trends, competitive movements, and market conditions to inform strategy
- Strong financial acumen, including valuation modeling and due‑diligence management
- Ability to navigate complex negotiations and communicate effectively at the executive level
