Tour Manager

Overview

We are primarily a student educational tour company for students in grade 5-12. We have 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-day trips. We are based in Ohio and have schools across the state. All trips depart from and return to the school site. We assign a Nowak Tours tour manager on each bus, and our trips range from 1-9 buses. Destinations include Washington DC, Orland Disney, Chicago, Nashville, New York City, Put ’n Bay, Columbus, Cincinnati, Detroit, Philadelphia, Williamsburg, and Pittsburgh.

Our tour managers are on each bus as the trip begins and ends.

Here is an overview of the tour manager’s primary duties and responsibilities.

• Provide the educational background of the city and the sites and manage transitions from site to site, meals, hotel stays, and hotel check-ins/outs.
• Twofold focus: ensure educational value and smooth coordination of logistics for daily activities.

• Provide historical and cultural background of Washington DC and each site visited.
• Work with the lead teacher/parent to facilitate transitions between locations, including meals and hotel check-ins and check-outs.
• Ensure the group stays on schedule throughout the tour.
• In conjunction with the bus driver and the lead teacher/parent, facilitate logistics and coordination of daily activities.
• Serve as a point of contact for vendors and site partners.
