Maintenance Worker, Building Maintenance, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

7 hours per day, 35 hours per week - Monday to Friday, plus every third weekend

The Maintenance Worker performs a variety of maintenance and repair work. Their principal role is to assist in maintaining the building, grounds, and equipment of the Wales Home in good condition to ensure safety and well-being of its residents and staff.

• High school diploma OR any other completed diploma OR three years' pertinent experience in the last five years.
• Two years' experience in plumbing, electrical, painting, etc. an asset
• Good knowledge of English and French, both written and spoken. This position requires English to meet residents' needs, who are primarily English speakers.

• Perform tasks coordinated by the Technical Services Manager.
• Assume the Technical Services Manager's responsibilities in his absence.
• Maintain the Wales Home in good condition and in conformity with standards.
• Any other task that meets and respects the employee’s capabilities that can contribute to the success and help achieve the goals of the department and Wales Home.
