LHH is looking for a contract Litigation Paralegal in Cleveland, OH for a law firm. They are looking for someone to start ASAP and the role could last through the end of the year.
This is a full-time, primarily onsite contract role created to assist with a significant backlog of work. The paralegal will work closely with 2-3 attorneys and report directly to the Paralegal Manager.
Due to workload and trial volume, the role is primarily in-office, though there may be potential for a hybrid schedule in the future based on team needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide litigation support through all phases of trial preparation and trial
- Assist with trial logistics and materials for a high volume of trials
- Support attorneys with case management, filings, and document preparation
- Handle Ohio court filings and be familiar with state filing systems
- Assist with real estate related litigation matters
- Coordinate and support local trial travel (Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, and nearby cities)
- Collaborate closely with the litigation team to help address backlog
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience
- Trial experience required (must be well-versed in trial prep and support)
- Real estate litigation experience is a must
- Experience with Ohio court filing systems
- Ability to work full-time, primarily onsite
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume litigation environment
- Onsite parking provided at no cost
- Travel required for local trials (Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, surrounding areas)
- Full-time hours for the duration of the contract
