System Architect

Responsibilities

• Define and govern the end‑to‑end system architecture across applications, integrations, data flows, and infrastructure
• Translate business and program requirements into scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable technical solutions
• Establish, document, and enforce architecture standards, principles, and guardrails
• Evaluate and approve solution designs produced by delivery teams
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks, dependencies, and architectural constraints
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture strategy and long‑term technology roadmaps
• Produce and maintain architecture artifacts including system diagrams, interface specifications, and integration patterns (APIs, middleware, event‑driven designs)
• Guide technology decisions related to platforms, tools, frameworks, and technology stacks
• Review solution designs to ensure performance, security, compliance, and data integrity requirements are met

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Formal training in IT Architecture
• 5+ years of IT Architecture experience
• Strong understanding of architectural principles and system design best practices
• Familiarity with modern software development concepts including APIs, microservices, cloud services, and automated testing
• Experience with integration services and enterprise platforms
• Knowledge of Payroll and/or Time & Attendance systems strongly preferred

• Self‑motivated with the ability to drive architectural direction in complex programs
• Strong communication and presentation skills across technical and non‑technical audiences
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to balance strategic architecture with pragmatic delivery needs
• Effective listener and negotiator with strong stakeholder management skills
• Multi‑language capability preferred but not required
