Empower Test Lead

Akkodis is seeking an Empower Test Lead for a Contract with a client in Cleveland, OH. This role requires strong expertise in Empower testing and Agile quality leadership to drive end‑to‑end testing for complex mortgage‑servicing initiatives.

Rate Range: $49/hour to $53/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Lead end‑to‑end testing for mortgage origination projects by defining test strategy, planning execution cycles, managing defects, and ensuring high‑quality, on‑time delivery.
• Drive Agile Quality Engineering practices, including shift‑left testing, automation strategy, risk‑based testing, and adherence to Definition of Done across Scrum teams.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using Selenium Web Driver, Java, TestNG, Maven, Cucumber, and Git, including BDD‑based scenarios and reporting.
• Conduct API functional and automation testing using Postman, SOAP UI, and Karate Framework, ensuring robust coverage for service‑level validations.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering, Dev Ops, and offshore QE teams to ensure alignment, resolve blockers, and support continuous quality improvements.
• Perform ETL, database, and data warehouse testing by validating transformation logic, writing complex SQL queries, and ensuring data accuracy across systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in Quality Engineering and Testing, with strong exposure to mortgage domain projects.
• Proven expertise in Empower (Loan Origination System) testing, end‑to‑end QA leadership, and Agile Quality Management practices including shift‑left and automation strategy.
• Strong hands‑on experience in automation frameworks (Selenium, Java, TestNG, Cucumber), API testing (Postman, SOAP UI, Karate), and coordination across onshore–offshore delivery teams.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $53.00 per hour
